Chapel Saint-Julien-de-Pistrin, Romanesque chapel in Sabran, France
The chapel features a thirteen-meter-long nave with two bays separated by a barrel-vaulted double arch.
First recorded as Sanctus-Julianus de Pistrinis in 1241, the chapel underwent reconstruction in 1605 following damage from religious wars.
The stained glass windows installed in 2003 combine Cistercian patterns with modern elements while maintaining traditional religious symbolism.
The Muses et Hommes association conducts guided tours to explore the Romanesque architecture and history of the religious building.
The apse cornice displays ancient-influenced scrollwork and palmettes, which are uncommon architectural features in the Bagnols region.
