Description
Chapel Saint-Julien-de-Pistrin is a Romanesque house of prayer in Sabran with a nave measuring about 13 meters long. The interior is divided by a continuous barrel-vaulted arch that separates two bays.
History
The building first appeared in written records in 1241 as Sanctus-Julianus de Pistrinis. It underwent major reconstruction in 1605 after suffering damage during the religious conflicts of that era.
Culture
The stained glass windows from 2003 blend Cistercian patterns with contemporary design while keeping traditional religious symbols. They show how old and new artistic forms can exist together in the same space.
