Sky & Sand Beachclub

Sky & Sand Beachclub is an elevated beach bar located on top of the Hamburger Meile shopping center, featuring imported sand, a small rooftop pool, sun loungers, and palm trees. Three cocktail bars operate across the terrace, creating an authentic seaside environment in the urban setting.

The club opened in May 2012 on the rooftop of the Hamburger Meile shopping center in the Barmbek district. This launching transformed how the city approached urban beach recreation and set a new standard for rooftop venues in the region.

The venue reflects Hamburg's approach to urban leisure, blending local hospitality traditions with Mediterranean beach culture. It functions as a social gathering place where residents and visitors experience seaside relaxation in the middle of the city.

Access to the rooftop is through the shopping center, with elevators leading directly to the terrace. The venue fills quickly on sunny days, so arriving earlier in the afternoon or planning ahead helps secure better spots.

The sand is imported from Fiji and refreshed regularly to maintain its quality. This detail allows visitors to experience genuine beach sensations without leaving the city.
