Oxagon, proposed industrial city in Saudi Arabia
Oxagon is an industrial city under construction on the Red Sea coast in Saudi Arabia. The city consists of a harbor district, factory areas, and residential neighborhoods that spread along the coast and are supplemented by a floating platform.
The Saudi Crown Prince announced the project in November 2021 as part of Vision 2030. The first industrial licenses were issued in early 2023, and construction work began shortly afterward.
The name Oxagon comes from its octagonal shape, which you can see clearly on maps and site plans. The floating platform in the harbor will later serve as a public space where visitors can experience the sea up close.
The city is located near the Suez Canal in the northwest of Neom. Access to the construction site is currently limited, as many areas are still under construction and only open to authorized visitors.
The city is planned to host the largest floating industrial structure in the world. This platform will serve not only as a workspace but also as a public area that rests directly on the water.
