Plage de Bauduen
Plage de Bauduen is a beach on the shore of Lac de Sainte-Croix in Var, surrounded by green hills and Mediterranean vegetation. The beach features soft pebbles and rounded rocks with shallow water, making it suitable for swimming and water activities like paddling and pedal boats.
The beach developed as simple access to the lake for the local community of Bauduen. Over time, it opened to visitors and gained basic facilities to support swimmers during warmer months.
The name Bauduen comes from Occitan roots reflecting the region's local heritage. Locals and visitors use the beach for family time, swimming, and enjoying views of the lake, making it a gathering place for everyday leisure.
The beach is free and open year-round with free parking nearby. During summer season, there is daily lifeguard supervision from noon to 6 pm, plus public restrooms and shaded picnic areas.
The beach allows jumping from rounded rocks directly into the water, offering visitors a simple adventure. This natural feature makes it popular with both children and adults who enjoy the thrill of cliff jumping.
