Stade Al-Medina
Stade Al Barid is a football stadium in Rabat with a natural grass pitch and straightforward design that holds approximately 18,000 spectators. The field measures about 105 meters long and 68 meters wide, surrounded by concrete seating stands that offer good views from most angles.
The stadium underwent renovation and reopened in late 2025, with work completed quickly to prepare it for the Africa Cup of Nations. The modernization included updated seating, improved lighting, and enhanced facilities for players and officials.
The stadium serves as a gathering place for football fans from Rabat who come together to celebrate their shared passion for the sport. On match days, supporters express their enthusiasm through songs, chants, and applause, creating a lively social experience that brings the community closer.
The stadium is located in the Agdal district and is easily accessible by public transportation or walking from nearby areas. On match days, it is best to arrive early since parking can be limited, and checking the match schedule in advance is helpful.
The name Al Barid means 'the cold' in Arabic, which might remind visitors of the cool breeze that sometimes sweeps through the area. The open design provides relief on hot days, especially when seated in the shade of the stands.
