Zénith Europe Strasbourg, Performance hall and arts centre in Eckbolsheim, France
Zénith Europe Strasbourg is a large performance venue in Eckbolsheim that can hold over 12,000 people and features a distinctive orange translucent canopy that illuminates at night. The hall has flexible seating arrangements to accommodate concerts, theatrical shows, and sporting events with modern sound and lighting systems.
The hall was built between 2006 and 2008 and designed by Italian architect Massimiliano Fuksas, who drew inspiration from an Aladdin lamp for its distinctive form. It cost approximately 78 million euros to construct and quickly became a major venue for hosting international artists.
The Zénith serves as a major gathering place where people from the region come together to experience performances and share in collective entertainment. The venue draws audiences from neighboring countries, reflecting its role as a European cultural hub.
The venue is easily accessible by tram line A to the Parc des Sports station and offers about 3,000 free parking spaces in different zones. Arriving at least 90 minutes before an event allows time to find parking and get settled without rushing.
The orange translucent canopy is made from fiberglass coated with silicone and has self-cleaning properties. This surface can also serve as a giant screen at night to display programs and images during performances.
