Via Ferrata du Capucin is an equipped climbing route in the mountains near Mont-Dore, fitted with metal bars, cables, and steel anchors. The course starts at a steep rock face about 100 feet (30 m) high and passes through several sections with footbridges and varying difficulty levels.
The via ferrata was established in 2014 to provide visitors with a safe climbing experience near Mont-Dore. The installation builds on the mountain's natural features and uses the existing terrain to create a secure route for climbers of different skills.

Access to the via ferrata starts with a walk of about 25 minutes through the woods from the parking area, passing by an adjacent adventure park. After completing the climb, the descent takes about 35 minutes and follows a forest path back to the parking lot.
Mountain goats called chamois sometimes appear in the rocky areas around the site, as they are native to this region. Spotting these animals adds an unexpected wildlife element to the climbing experience.
