Bonifatiuspark, Park in Kalbach-Riedberg, Frankfurt am Main, Germany

Bonifatiuspark is a park in the Kalbach-Riedberg district of Frankfurt am Main, laid out along a broad pedestrian axis running west to east for roughly 2,460 feet (750 meters). The path is lined with lawns, rows of trees, and low walls made of light-colored stone.

The Riedberg area was developed into a residential district only in recent decades, and the park was created as part of that urban planning. In the upper part of the park, a spring marks the spot where, according to tradition, the funeral procession carrying the remains of Saint Boniface rested in 754.

The Bonifatiuspark sits along a historic pilgrimage route linked to Saint Boniface, and the park's name reflects that connection. Visitors who walk through attentively will notice references to this old trail embedded in the landscape.

The park has no set opening hours and can be visited at any time. The nearest bus stop is Kalbacher Höhe, from which the park is a short walk away.

The park sits on gently sloping ground, and from its higher points the Frankfurt skyline comes into view in a way that most visitors do not expect. This makes it an overlooked vantage point right inside a residential neighborhood.
