Jardin Papelera is a small public garden in the Arganzuela district of Madrid, near Arganza street. It has shaded paths, benches, trees, two tennis courts, and two skating rinks that are part of a city-managed sports area.
The name "Papelera" refers to a paper factory that once stood in this part of Madrid. As the neighborhood grew over the decades, this small green and sports area was established for local residents.
The garden is easy to reach by metro from Pirámides station on line 5, or by bus with stops nearby. The paths are simple and accessible on foot, but there are no ramps for wheelchair users.
Although the garden is small, it includes two skating rinks, which is unusual for a city garden in Madrid. In the afternoons, children and teenagers come to skate there, giving the space a different energy from a typical neighborhood green area.
