The Danang Fine Arts Museum is an art museum in the Hải Châu neighborhood of Da Nang, Vietnam, spread across three floors of display space devoted to paintings, sculptures, and crafts from the region. The rooms are bright and easy to navigate, with benches placed throughout so visitors can stop and look at each work at their own pace.
The museum opened in 2014 in a building that had previously served as a history museum before being repurposed for fine arts. Since then it has built up a collection drawn from Da Nang and the wider region, growing through donations from artists and collectors.
The second floor displays paintings, lacquer works, and silk textiles by contemporary Vietnamese artists. Young visitors often gather there to photograph the displays and get a sense of what local artists are making today.
The museum sits in the Hải Châu district and can be reached on foot or by local transport from most central areas of Da Nang. Allow enough time to walk through all three floors without rushing.
The third floor holds ceremonial masks, wooden carvings, and traditional costumes from local ethnic groups that are rarely shown in city museums. These are objects from living local traditions, not copies made for display.
