Creek Park, Large public park in Umm Hurair, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Creek Park is a large public park in the Umm Hurair district of Dubai, stretching along the bank of Dubai Creek with lawns, shaded paths, and play areas. Its southern end holds a beach area, an amphitheatre, and family attractions, while the promenade looks across to the golf and yacht club on the other side.
The park has served as a green space along Dubai Creek for decades, and its cable car ran until safety concerns led to its closure around 2015. The cable car has since been dismantled, leaving only the paths and lawns that shaped the earlier layout.
Families come to the designated barbecue areas with their own food and settle in for long, relaxed meals on the grass. The beach strip at the southern end feels like a small local gathering spot, separate from the more structured play zones.
Shaded walkways and food kiosks make it easy to spend a full afternoon here without returning to the street. The main entrance near Gate 1 gives the simplest route to bike rentals and the family-oriented southern section.
Visitors often miss the small beach at the southern tip, tucked behind the busier family attractions. It is a quiet strip of sand where the water of the creek comes close to the park, offering a view of working boats that contrasts with the landscaped lawns nearby.
