Brdo, Mountain peak in Roštín, Czech Republic
Brdo is a mountain in the Chřiby region of Central Moravia that rises to 587 meters above sea level. The summit features a stone observation platform accessible by climbing stairs, offering views across the surrounding landscape.
The site held fortifications during the late Bronze Age, with remnants still visible from that period. A wooden observation tower stood on the summit until its decline in the 1970s.
The current stone observation tower, constructed in 2004, represents the first such structure built in the region since the 1930s.
The observation platform is reached by climbing stairs to the summit. The site works best during clear weather when visibility across the surrounding region is greatest.
The summit sits at the boundary between the Kroměříž and Uherské Hradiště districts, serving as a natural administrative boundary. This location makes it a noteworthy point for geographical orientation in the region.
