Jewish Cemetery, Mikulov

The Jewish Cemetery in Mikulov sits on Kozí Hill and holds around 4,000 graves arranged in uneven rows across its grounds. The tombstones display styles from the Renaissance, Baroque, and Classicist periods, reflecting the tastes of different eras.

This burial ground was founded in the mid-15th century and served as a major site for the Jewish community across Moravia over centuries. Multiple expansions took place as the community grew, and several notable religious leaders were laid to rest here.
