Kozí hrádek, Gothic defense tower in Mikulov, Czech Republic

Kozí hrádek is a defense tower from the 15th century perched on a rocky hill above Mikulov. The structure has two stories, was built with firing loops for defense, and features a gallery on one side for protective purposes.

The tower was built in the 15th century to protect a major trade route between Brno and Vienna. It was part of a broader defense system designed to safeguard the region from attacks.

The tower's name means "Goat Castle", and the hill below it is Kozí vrch, Goat Hill; the German name is Gaisburg. Since renovations at the start of the 21st century the site has served as a freely accessible rest area, and the ruin is opened when a flag is flying or by prior arrangement.
