Račice Castle

The castle combines Empire and Renaissance architectural elements with two main wings surrounding a central courtyard and features carved rock cellars beneath the structure.

Originally constructed in the 13th century, the castle underwent significant transformation in the 15th century and received additional modifications when Baron Jan Mundy acquired it in 1830.

The castle maintains two distinct tour circuits, with the Piano Nobile route presenting educational panels that detail the architectural evolution of the building through time.

The castle provides accommodation in both the Forecastle and Undercastle sections, offering rooms with terraces and apartments that include access to a wellness area with sauna.

The underground section contains an extensive network of cellar spaces carved directly into rock, demonstrating historical methods used for heating living areas above.
