Devět skal

Devět skal is a granite rock formation featuring nine distinctive towers and several smaller pinnacles spread across multiple kilometers. The rock walls offer climbing opportunities at various difficulty levels and create a rugged landscape with prominent ridge lines.

This granite formation was placed under protection in 1976 by the regional government to preserve its geological structures from damage. The site was then declared a protected natural monument, with its scientific value formally recognized.

The climbing routes here have developed their own names and traditions passed down by experienced climbers over decades. Visitors encounter mountaineers from across the region on these distinctive rock formations, making this place a gathering spot for the climbing community.

Visitors should bring sturdy footwear and suitable clothing for changing elevations, as conditions vary by season. The marked paths are accessible, but it's important to respect your own limits and exercise caution during poor weather.

Despite its elevation, this area is frequently visited by skilled climbers from the surrounding region who train here and explore new routes. The site functions not just as a nature reserve but also as a quiet training ground for generations of climbers.
