Drábovna is a sandstone rock formation standing on the right bank of the Jizera River, featuring multiple elevated platforms separated by deep natural gorges. The various sections of the site create a complex structure with different elevation levels and interesting geological formations.
The site was inhabited as early as the late Stone Age and later shows traces of Lusatian settlements as well as medieval fortification structures. This sequence shows how the location attracted and served different cultures over thousands of years.
The rock formation carries several regional names such as the Front Temple and Back Temple, reflecting its importance as a local landmark. Visitors can explore these differently named sections today and understand how the place fits into the local geography.
Access is via steep sandstone steps, and a shelter at a junction provides rest opportunities. The terrain requires good footing and appropriate footwear for climbing on uneven, natural rock surfaces.
