Smrk, Mountain summit in northern Bohemia, Czech Republic

The Smrk mountain reaches 1,124 meters in elevation and stands as the highest point in the Czech section of the Jizera Mountains.

In 1628, Imperial commander Albrecht von Wallenstein attached his coat of arms to a large spruce tree near the border, which fell during a storm in 1790.

The mountain represents a historical meeting point of three territories: Upper Lusatian lordship, Lower Silesian duchy, and Bohemian lands around Frýdlant.

Visitors can access the summit via a red-marked trail starting from Lázně Libverda or through an alternative route from Świeradów-Zdrój.

A steel observation tower constructed in 2003 replaced the original wooden structure from 1892, with a replica now standing at Prague Zoo.
