Czerniawska Kopa, Mountain summit in Świeradów-Zdrój, Poland.
Czerniawska Kopa is a mountain summit in the Sudetes range located on the border between Poland and the Czech Republic, standing at approximately 776 meters high. The peak consists of metamorphic rock formations, primarily different varieties of gneiss that create a distinctive rocky landscape.
The peak was known as Dresslerberg before 1945, reflecting the German-speaking heritage of the region during the earlier 20th century. After World War II, the mountain received its current Polish name and became part of the redrawn national borders.
The mountain stands as a meeting point between Polish and Czech territories, representing centuries of shared borderland traditions in the Sudetes mountain range.
The green-marked hiking trail connects the towns of Pobiedna and Gryfów Śląski across the mountain ridge and serves as the main access route. Weather in the Sudetes can change rapidly, so visitors should come prepared with appropriate gear.
The mountain sits between the Łużycy valley to the west and the deep Czarny Potok river gorge to the east. These two contrasting valleys frame the summit and create distinct geographical features that shape the walking experience.
