City Empiria, Skyscraper in Nusle, Prague, Czech Republic
City Empiria is an office skyscraper in Nusle, Prague 4, reaching 132 m in total height and placing it among the tallest buildings in the Czech capital. The tower has 27 floors dedicated mainly to office and conference space, wrapped in a modern glass and steel facade.
The tower was built in the 1970s and originally served as the headquarters of Motokov, a Czechoslovak foreign trade company. In the early 2000s, it went through a full renovation that transformed it into a contemporary office complex.
The building is one of the few office towers in Prague that reads clearly as a landmark from neighborhoods to the south of the city center. Its glass facade changes appearance depending on the light, giving it a different look in the morning than at dusk.
The tower sits close to the D1 motorway and public transport stops in Nusle are reachable on foot, making it easy to get to by different means. Access inside is generally reserved for people with business appointments, so it is worth checking in advance before heading there.
The site stands at an elevation of 268 m above sea level, which is noticeably higher than the historic city center. As a result, the top of the tower is visible from many parts of Prague, including areas far from Nusle itself.
