Vršovice Savings Bank Building, Art Nouveau bank building in Vršovice district, Prague, Czech Republic
The Vršovice Savings Bank Building stands four stories tall with intricate architectural details and decorative elements on its exterior facade.
Architect Antonín Balšánek designed this financial institution in 1912, during a period of economic growth in early twentieth-century Prague.
Two statues at the building entrance were created by Czech sculptor Ladislav Šaloun, while Josef Mařatka and František Uprka contributed interior artworks.
The structure maintains its original function as a bank branch of Česká spořitelna and opens to visitors during European Heritage Days in September.
The building combines banking operations with preserved Art Nouveau architectural features, earning designation as a Czech cultural monument.
