Zoopark Vyškov

Zoopark Vyškov is a combined zoo and dinosaur park located in a Czech town. The facility displays animals from several continents across different sections and areas designed for various species.

The zoo began in 1965 as a small facility near Vyškov castle and was enlarged in 2006 when new enclosures for animals from Africa, Asia, and South America were added. This expansion transformed the original small collection into a larger operation with an international scope.

The 'Grandma's Yard' section displays traditional farm animals and invites visitors to interact with them directly. This area shows how rural life worked and how people lived alongside these animals.

The park operates throughout the year with adjusted hours depending on the season. Plan enough time to explore both sections of the park, especially if you want to see the different areas and exhibits in full.

The 'Under the Surface' section, which opened in 2018, features underground viewing stations where visitors can watch freshwater fish like carp, sturgeon, and perch. This hidden element offers an unusual perspective on aquatic life and water habitats.
