Rozhledna Boubín is a 21-metre wooden tower on the summit plateau of Boubín at 1,360 m, with an open viewing platform. Its spruce log frame, 7 × 7 m at the base and 4 × 4 m at the top, rises only two metres above the treetops. A wooden staircase of 109 steps inside the tower leads to the gallery on the seventh floor.

The tower was constructed using manual labor and horse-drawn transport, with a cableway system employed to move building materials to the site. This demanding construction approach was necessary given the remote location.

The stone obelisk beside the tower bears the inscription "Kardinal Fürst von Schwarzenberg, 3. 8. 1867", recalling the ascent of Cardinal Bedřich Schwarzenberg, Archbishop of Prague. In 2011 the tower placed second in an iDNES.cz poll for the most beautiful observation tower in the South Bohemian Region.

The tower is reached via a blue-marked hiking trail of roughly 4 kilometers from Kubova Huť and has parking available for visitors. Proper footwear and time for walking should be planned ahead.

The tower stands at 1,360 m, making it the highest wooden observation tower in the Czech Republic and the second-highest tower overall after Praděd. On clear days the Alps, nearly 200 km away, can be seen from the viewing platform.
