Church of Saint Mary of Help, Pilgrimage church in Zlaté Hory, Czech Republic.
The Church of Saint Mary of Help stands three kilometers south of Zlaté Hory, positioned below the peak of Příčný vrch at an elevation of 875 meters.
After its destruction in 1973 during the communist era, the church received a new cornerstone blessed by Pope John Paul II in 1990 and reopened in 1995.
The site originated when Anna Tannheiserová found shelter during the Thirty Years' War, leading to the placement of a Madonna painting that drew 100,000 annual pilgrims.
The church maintains regular visiting hours from April through September between 8:00 and 18:00, while winter months operate from 8:00 to 16:00.
The sacred spring near the church survived the 1973 demolition of the original structure and remains accessible to visitors today.
