Čubův kopec observation tower

Čubův kopec observation tower is a wooden structure standing at roughly 720 meters in elevation with a tapered pyramidal form that narrows as it rises. The viewing platform at the top reveals multiple mountain ranges and valleys across the local landscape.

An earlier wooden structure from the 1940s originally served as a surveying point in this location before being removed. The current tower was built in 2004 to replace it and provide a new viewing spot.

The tower serves as a gathering point along a popular hiking route where people pause to enjoy the view and take in the surroundings. Visitors use it to understand the geography of the local region and appreciate the landscape that shapes life here.

Access starts from the nearby village of Střelná via a marked hiking trail that passes through wooded areas, with three different routes available to reach the tower. Wear suitable footwear for forest paths and allow time for the walk uphill.

The interior space tapers as you climb upward, creating a visually interesting narrowing effect that becomes more apparent with each floor. This design makes the ascent itself a notable part of the visit experience.
