Trnávka Reservoir, Czech reservoir
Trnávka Reservoir is a large body of water in the Želiv region that stretches across a broad area surrounded by natural landscape. The water is held back by a dam that manages its level and flow for the local community.
Trnávka Reservoir was built many years ago to supply drinking water to towns and farms in the area. Over time it became an essential part of the local water management system.
Walking paths run along the reservoir edges, offering good views especially from the dam across the water and surrounding landscape. Swimming is not permitted to protect the water supply, but the area is excellent for walking and quiet visits.
