Vodopády Bílé Opavy, Mountain waterfall series in Malá Morávka, Czech Republic

Vodopády Bílé Opavy is a waterfall series in a mountain gorge featuring multiple cascading drops and a main waterfall standing about 8 meters high. The water flows through narrow canyon passages between steep rock walls, creating striking natural formations.

Bílá Opava cuts into a canyon in the gneiss slopes of Praděd and Vysoká hole about 2 km from its spring, dropping roughly 400 m over some 2.5 km through rapids, cascades and waterfalls. The area lies within the Praděd National Nature Reserve, and the yellow-marked Bílá Opava nature trail runs along the stream from Karlova Studánka to the Barborka hut.

The name Bílá Opava, 'White Opava', is borne by the stream whose rapids, cascades and waterfalls fill the canyon; the yellow-marked Naučná stezka Bílá Opava runs alongside it from Karlova Studánka up to the Barborka hut. The trail crosses the gorge on several footbridges and ladders, and its panels explain the Jeseníky spruce and mountain plants such as havez česnáčková and kamzičník rakouský.

A yellow-marked educational trail, Naučná stezka Bílá Opava, runs from Karlova Studánka along the stream up to the Barborka mountain hut. It crosses the canyon over several footbridges and ladders, so sturdy footwear is needed on the wet rock.

The highest drop, Velký vodopád, falls 7.9 m as part of a cascade 16.4 m high and 40 m long. The stream drops about 400 m over roughly 2.5 km of canyon cut into gneiss slopes below Praděd and Vysoká hole.
