Nový Svět, Medieval stone street in Hradčany district, Prague, Czech Republic.

The narrow cobblestone passage winds between small colorful houses with decorated doors named after animals and fruits like Golden Griffin and White Lion.

The street developed in the 14th century as a settlement for castle workers and craftsmen, later reconstructed after a major fire in the 1700s.

Current residents include artists and writers who maintain the medieval character of their homes through traditional architectural elements and decorative features.

Visitors can reach the street by taking tram number 22 to the Pohořelec stop or walking uphill from Malostranská metro station.

Several houses contain Prussian cannonballs embedded in their walls, marking the military conflicts that occurred during the 18th century siege.
