Průmyslový palác, Art Nouveau palace in Holesovice, Prague, Czech Republic.
Průmyslový palác is an Art Nouveau building with a central steel and glass structure topped by a distinctive clock tower and two symmetrical wings. The entire complex spreads across exhibition grounds in the Holesovice district.
The palace was designed in 1891 by Bedřich Münzberger for the National Jubilee Exhibition and marked the start of regular industrial exhibitions in Prague. It later became a central venue for trade fairs and cultural gatherings.
The palace has served as a major meeting place for international exhibitions and shows how Prague transformed from an industrial city into a cultural hub. Today visitors experience it as an active venue where different kinds of events and shows take place.
The palace is located within exhibition grounds and is accessible when exhibitions or events are taking place. Check ahead to see what shows are scheduled during your visit to make the most of your time there.
The left wing was completely rebuilt after a 2008 fire, combining modern engineering techniques with the original Art Nouveau elements. This reconstruction shows how the building adapted to new needs while maintaining its historical character.
