Pstruží potok, Nature reserve in Stará Ves, Czech Republic.
Pstruží potok is a nature reserve centered on a small stream in the Jeseníky region, where mature forests create layered ecosystems with rich understory vegetation. The terrain is marked by steep slopes and dense woodland that support shade-loving plants and various forest creatures.
This reserve became a protected area in 1989, when conservation efforts were formally established in the region. Today it forms part of the larger Jeseníky Protected Landscape Area system.
The Nature Conservation Agency of the Czech Republic manages this reserve within the Jeseníky Protected Landscape Area according to regional regulations.
The reserve has marked trails that wind through various woodland sections, allowing visitors to observe local plants and animals at their own pace. Sturdy footwear is recommended since the slopes can be wet and slippery.
The reserve is home to a rare yew tree, the last known specimen of this species surviving in the entire Jeseníky Protected Landscape. This botanical treasure draws attention from nature enthusiasts who wish to see this living remnant.
