Sněžné věžičky

Schneetürmchen is a rock formation comprising three towers in the Jizera Mountains, with the central tower reaching about 10 meters and featuring an observation deck accessed by metal stairs with safety railings. The towers provide views across the surrounding mountain landscape from the top.

The rock towers formed through erosion and weathering processes during the ice age, with frost and water sculpting the granite into its present shape. These natural forces created the distinctive structure visitors see today.

Local mountaineering groups maintain the metal steps and safety equipment, ensuring continued access to these natural formations for future generations.

The climb takes about two hours from Hejnice and requires standard hiking gear plus good footing skills across varied elevation changes. Weather can shift quickly in the mountains, so arrive prepared for conditions that may change.

The central tower features a mushroom-shaped cap formed by uneven weathering of the granite over thousands of years. This unusual shape gives the formation its distinctive name and makes it memorable from every angle.
