Svatobor, Observation tower on Svatobor Hill in Sušice, Czech Republic
The 31-meter stone tower contains 182 steps leading to a viewing platform that provides views across the Šumava Mountains and Central Bohemian Highlands.
Built in 1934 to replace the original 1890 structure, the tower stands at an elevation of 845 meters as part of the Czech Tourist Club's regional developments.
The tower represents an essential element of Czech outdoor recreation traditions, designed by local architect Karel Houra using regional architectural elements.
Visitors can reach the tower by following a 3.5-kilometer red marked trail from Sušice square or using the dedicated parking area for vehicles.
The tower includes an adjacent chalet offering overnight accommodations and serves as a starting point for downhill scooter rides through the surrounding forest.
