Villa Löw-Beer

Villa Löw-Beer is an Art Nouveau house in Brno with three stories, curved lines, and floral patterns on its exterior. The garden is integrated with the property and connects it to the neighboring Villa Tugendhat.

The house was built in 1903 for a factory owner and purchased in 1913 by a textile manufacturer. It then became the residence of an important industrial family in the city.

The house shows how wealthy industrial families lived in Brno and the role they held in local society. Visitors can observe how these families furnished their homes and what objects mattered to them.

The house is open to visitors from Tuesday to Sunday and located in the Černá Pole neighborhood. Wearing comfortable shoes is helpful since the garden invites exploration of the grounds.

The garden of this house borders directly with UNESCO-listed Villa Tugendhat, built in 1930 for the owner's daughter. Together these two houses form a special pair of contrasting architectural styles.
