The villa was built in 1860 by architect Josef Arnold as the first residential house in the Černá Pole district of Brno. It underwent significant modifications in the late 1890s under Josef Jelinek, who worked as a builder and served in the regional parliament.
The property holds national monument status in the Central Register of Cultural Monuments of the Czech Republic under registration number 48564/7-7880.
