Arnoldova vila

Arnoldova vila is a two-story house with a striking tower topped by a saddle roof, positioned between Drobného and Černopolní streets. The facades display decorative plasterwork and architectural details that define the style of this early villa neighborhood.

It was built in 1863 for Brno builder Josef Arnold and marked the start of residential development in the oldest villa neighborhood overlooking Luzanky park. Its construction launched growth in this part of the city.

The interior spaces show original wooden wall panels, ornamental floor tiles, and decorative metalwork that reflect 19th century craftsmanship. These details remain visible in the rooms today and speak to the skill and taste of that era.

The building is currently closed to visitors but is managed by the Museum of City Brno and awaits renovation work. It remains visible from the street and sits in a residential neighborhood that is easily accessible on foot.
