The facade of Mestska Sporitelna features allegorical sculptures representing art and industry, with ornate stone carvings adorning its three floors.
The bank building, constructed between 1892 and 1894, replaced former sheepskin sheds that had stood at this location since the 14th century.
Artists Bohuslav Schnirch and Stanislav Sucharda created fourteen stone allegories depicting different aspects of arts and industries for the first floor.
Located at Rytirska 29 in Prague 1, the building maintains its banking functions while housing two galleries displaying artworks from bank collections.
The structure incorporates Horice sandstone throughout its construction, with a bronze chandelier illuminating the Renaissance Revival-style vestibule.
