Austria–Czech Republic–Germany tripoint

The Austria-Czech Republic-Germany tripoint is located in a forested mountainous region near Nová Pec. This border intersection sits in a rural woodland area that is accessed by hiking trails.

Following World War I, Czechoslovakia was established in 1918, reshaping this border region. The current configuration of the three borders emerged from the political changes of that period.

The location is called Trojmezí in Czech, reflecting the linguistic heritage of the region. Hikers encounter trail markers and signs in three different languages that showcase the linguistic diversity of this border area.

The Via Czechia South Trail provides direct access to the tripoint and allows visitors to experience all three countries at once. The hiking path is well marked and relatively easy to reach for people with basic fitness.

This location is one of Austria's nine international tripoints, making it a rare geographical spot. The markers and border stones clearly show where the territories meet.
