The Orthodox Church of Saint Nicholas is a small chapel in the basement of the Czech-Russian Professor's House at Rooseveltova 597/29, designed by Rudolf V. Svoboda and Alexej Terechov. One room of the building, constructed in 1924–1925 for Russian émigré academics, was consecrated as a home church.

The chapel was consecrated in the basement of the Professors' House, built in 1924-1925 by a Czech-Russian construction association for professors and scholars of the Russian emigration. Prague's Orthodox Bishop Sergij gave his blessing for it after services at the St. Nicholas church on Old Town Square were interrupted. The room had served for seminars, children's courses and Christmas celebrations.

This church serves as a spiritual and social center for the Orthodox community living in Prague. It hosts regular worship services and gatherings that reflect Eastern Orthodox traditions and practices.

The church is located on Rooseveltova Street and can be accessed through the main entrance. It sits in a residential neighborhood with nearby public transportation options and welcomes visitors during its open hours.
