Vila Dóry Němcové, Art Nouveau villa in Holínské Předměstí, Czech Republic
The one-story residence features a baroque mansard roof, polygonal winter garden, and two prominent buttress-shaped projections on its richly carpented facade.
Theodora Němcová, daughter of writer Božena Němcová, acquired the land in 1894 and commissioned architect Dušan Jurkovič to design the villa in 1910.
The building combines European Art Nouveau design principles with traditional folk architecture elements and British Arts and Crafts movement influences.
The villa, located at Maršála Koněva 150 in Jičín, underwent interior renovations in 1938, including the addition of a new staircase and office space.
The property features a distinctive fence constructed from sandstone blocks with brick pillars, topped by pitched roofs and green wooden panels.
