Paletínská kaple, Religious chapel in Luže, Czech Republic
The Paletínská kaple features an octagonal structure with pilasters at the corners and an entrance portal decorated with a cartouche and IHS monogram.
Jan Kotz commissioned the chapel in 1620 as gratitude for protecting Luže from a plague epidemic, with construction completed and consecration performed by 1624.
The chapel contains interior niches, a northern gallery, and once housed the altar of the Fourteen Holy Helpers with a copy of the Chrudim Savior.
Located one kilometer east of Košumberk Castle ruins along a red tourist trail, the chapel stands at coordinates 49.883752 latitude and 16.046627 longitude.
Religious services occurred three times annually: Easter Tuesday, Pentecost Tuesday, and the Monday following the Feast of the Name of Mary.
