Church of Saint John the Baptist, Gothic church in Malín, Czech Republic
The Church of Saint John the Baptist features a tower reaching 64 meters in height, with four entryways including a Gothic ogive portal.
Originally constructed as a Romanesque basilica in the 13th century, the church underwent reconstruction and expansion between 1893 and 1900 to restore Gothic elements.
The Ministry of Culture recognizes this church as a designated cultural monument, emphasizing its architectural value within the Czech heritage preservation system.
The building contains three naves supported by pairs of columns, with additional spaces including a presbytery, sacristy, and vestibule for various functions.
Archaeological discoveries made during repair work in 2007 provided additional information about the historical development of the church structure.
