Kaňk is a 30-metre concrete observation tower on the southeastern ridge of Kaňk hill at 353 m above sea level, clad in cyclopean masonry. It has a glazed viewing gallery at 26 metres, reached by 144 steps or a lift, and stands beside the Havířská bouda restaurant.

The Kaňk area was settled in ancient times, as shown by archaeological finds from the Hallstatt and La Tène periods. The current tower was built in 2013 as a modern addition to a district with deep historical roots.

The tower stands on the site of a former gamekeeper's lodge that was converted into a lookout restaurant in 1895. Closed in the 1950s and used again as a lodge, the building was revitalized during the tower's construction and now operates as the restaurant Havířská bouda, a name recalling the miners of the Kutná Hora silver district.

The tower is reached from Sedlec or Kaňk by the yellow trail to the Kaňk crossroads, then about 1.5 km on the blue trail toward Hlízov station; it lies on the Stříbrná stezka northern circuit. A lift and 144 stairs lead to the glazed gallery at 26 m, so the tower is barrier-free.

The restaurant beside the tower is called Havířská bouda, meaning "Miner's Hut", a reference to the mining history of the Kaňk hill. The tower's concrete core is clad in cyclopean masonry, so the surface reads as rough stone rather than smooth concrete.
