Church of Saint Margaret in Zvole

The Church of Saint Margaret is a Gothic Revival building featuring two square towers and a geometrically organized interior based on a Greek cross plan. The clean lines and symmetrical proportions create an ordered space that feels open and easy to move through.

The building began as an early 14th century church and underwent major changes between 1713 and 1717 under architect Jan Blažej Santini Aichl. This renovation gave it the form we see today.

Inside, visitors can see a remarkable painting of St. Wenceslas created by Baroque master Karel Škréta hanging prominently above the main altar. This artwork shapes the first impression when entering the church.

The church is located in Zvole in the Prague-West District and remains an active place for regular Catholic services. You can visit during opening hours to see the architecture and artworks inside.
