Pavilon Z, Exhibition pavilion at Brno Exhibition Centre, Czech Republic.
The circular Pavilon Z extends across 120 meters in diameter and rises 46 meters high, featuring a monumental glass and steel cupola structure.
Completed in 1959 for the First International Engineering Fair, the pavilion became the largest exhibition hall in Czechoslovakia at that time.
The Brussels-style architecture of Pavilon Z demonstrates the mid-century modernist movement through its spiral-shaped tubes and innovative structural design.
The renovated main hall accommodates 850 seated visitors or 1,500 people for concerts, with updated technological systems integrated into a dedicated tower.
The pavilion's roof structure required four cranes to position its massive steel components on the ferroconcrete perimeter ring during construction.
