Pavilon C, Exhibition pavilion in Pisárky district, Brno, Czech Republic
Pavilion C is a four-story exhibition building within the Brno Exhibition Centre measuring approximately 61 by 61 meters. The interior features a network of support columns running beneath an intricately designed coffered ceiling.
The building was designed and constructed between 1958 and 1959 by architects Miloš Matiovský and Zdeněk Valenta. It employs a reinforced concrete skeleton structure inspired by the industrial architecture characteristic of the Zlín style from that period.
The building hosts trade fairs and exhibitions throughout the year, serving as a gathering space for the community. It remains an important venue where visitors and locals come together for temporary events and presentations.
The building is accessible at Výstaviště 405/1 in Brno, and multiple elevators provide easy access between the different floors. The central atrium helps with orientation and movement throughout the structure.
Ferdinand Lederer created the building's central cupola, which crowns the interior and stands as a defining architectural feature. This element shapes the character of the space in ways that transcend the typical exhibition function.
