Teplotechna, Brutalist office building in New Town, Czech Republic
The six-story Teplotechna building displays a blue enamel sheet metal facade with green windows and exposed concrete braces supporting large bay windows.
Architect Věra Machoninová designed this building as part of the urban development initiative in Prague, completing the structure in 1984.
Sculptor Miloslav Chlupáč created reliefs called Plastic Patterns on the concrete braces, adding artistic elements to the architectural composition.
Located at Ječná 39a in Prague 2, the building houses administrative offices, hotel apartments on the top floor, and a bistro at ground level.
The structure incorporates a quartet of concrete braces decorated with sculptural elements while maintaining functionality as support for two bay windows.
