The cylindrical water tower reaches a height of 38.5 meters with an external tank diameter of 11 meters and a lower tube of 7.4 meters.
Construction of the water tower began on April 28, 1936, and the facility commenced operations on January 1, 1937, with a total construction cost of 3,387,000 crowns.
The functionalist structure incorporates modern classical elements, particularly evident in its columned colonnade design, reflecting architectural trends of the 1930s period.
The water tower contains 138 steps leading to an observation deck, plus an additional 82 steps to the upper section, with a water tank capacity of 320 cubic meters.
The structure underwent major renovation in 1995 and since 2005 has been leased to Královéhradecké provozní, opening periodically for public viewing events.
