Templářské sklepy v Čejkovicích are wine cellars founded by the Knights Templar, who arrived in the 1230s and built a commandery, today's Čejkovice chateau. The underground cellars, the largest in the Lands of the Bohemian Crown at the time, now hold 500,000 litres of wine maturing in oak barrels, while over 6,000,000 litres are stored in new halls above them.

The cellars were established in the 13th century by a religious military order that built large wine storage spaces beneath the region. These underground structures served wine production for centuries afterward.

The cellars take their name from the Knights Templar, who arrived in the 1230s and founded the wine cellars; their first written mention dates from 1248. The order built its commandery here, today Čejkovice Castle. Tours and tastings in the historic cellars keep the Templar association present for visitors.

Guided tours allow visitors to explore the underground passages and taste wines from the cellar. Expect cool, consistent temperatures in the passages, so bring appropriate clothing.
