Vila Bayer stands at Krále Jiřího 20, house number 1178, in Karlovy Vary. The family villa was built in 1908–1909 in late historicism with secessionist decorative elements. Its dominant features are wooden loggia balconies and perforated gables, and a kitchen wing was added to all floors in 1912.

Alfred Bayer applied with his wife Leopoldina for the building line in autumn 1907; the situation plan was approved on 12 March 1908, construction ran from 1908 and the villa was finished in February 1909. In 1912 a kitchen wing was added on all floors because rooms the family did not use were rented to spa guests. Bayer died in the house on 3 March 1916, aged 57.

The villa's name recalls its builder, Alfred Bayer, who designed it and lived here until his death on 3 March 1916; he is buried in the Drahovice cemetery.
