The station served as a primary television broadcaster until June 2011, when analog transmissions ended across the region. After this transition, the facility was reconfigured to focus on mobile networks and data services.
The transmitter facility maintains radio broadcasts for regional stations, including Hitrádio Černá Hora operating at 94.7 MHz frequency.
The site sits on elevated ground and is visible from considerable distances across the landscape. Visitors can view the structure from nearby hiking trails and roads that pass through the area.
The lattice structure functions as a central hub for digital microwave data connections, supporting telecommunications across eastern Czech Republic.
